Industrial Maintenance Technician
This 16-week training plan will prepare participants for a position as:Crane Industrial Maintenance Technician. Training is provided through hands-on demonstration, on-the-job training, laboratory instruction, and classroom instruction. The program is designed to alternate between classroom/lab instruction and on the job training; giving participants the opportunity to gain new objectives and then incorporate them during their field training. The flexibility in scheduling will support the needs of the participant. Konecranes offers opportunities across the entire nation. Classroom/Lab Training is offered in Springfield, Ohio and/or New Berlin, Wisconsin. OJT will be provided in the selected location of the service member. Konecranes will be responsible for accommodations and travel arrangements related service member’s training.
ABOUT THE JOB
Conduct inspections, maintenance, and repairs on electric overhead traveling cranes and hoists at customer locations. Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, structural, and electronic issues on-site. Perform post-repair audits to ensure safety features are functional. Document findings and recommend corrective actions, including safety notifications to customers. Consult with customers on repair and safety issues, offering recommendations for material handling improvement. Produce electronic documentation using company tools, obtaining customer signatures. Stay updated on industry codes and regulations (OSHA, ANSI, CMAA, HMI). Complete service reports and other required documents accurately and promptly. Communicate with the Field Operations Manager and Service Coordinator following established practices Maintain company-issued equipment, vehicles, and assets in proper working order. Operate tools, equipment, and vehicles, reporting deficiencies to the supervisor. Follow established safety rules and procedures, including customer guidelines. Participate in monthly safety meetings. Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
