Join us as an Equipment Operator and gain real-world experience in transportation logistics, equipment handling, and hazardous materials management. This 16-week program is designed to equip you with in-demand certifications, operational skills, and the confidence to step into a civilian role upon separation from active duty.As an Equipment Operator Level II, you will support logistics and aircraft maintenance operations by safely transporting aircraft parts, tools, and materials—including hazardous items—throughout Fleet Readiness Center East (FRCE) and adjacent areas. This internship combines classroom instruction, hands-on training, and real-time operational support to fully prepare you for a civilian role in equipment and materials handling.
ABOUT THE JOB
Key Responsibilities:• Operate Mule Trains on designated and dynamic routes to support facility transport needs.• Conduct forklift operations, including loading, unloading, and transporting supplies in a maintenance environment.• Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance of equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.• Maintain detailed logbooks and communicate effectively with dispatch and logistics coordinators.• Follow strict safety protocols and comply with hazardous materials handling standards.Training Highlights:• Orientation, site safety, and PPE training• Mule Train operations and route efficiency• Forklift operations and certification preparation• Hazardous material handling• Scenario-based logistics exercises and final assessmentsCertifications Earned:• Forklift Operation Certification• Hazardous Material Handling (if applicable)Ideal Candidate:• Currently serving active-duty military member eligible for SkillBridge• Strong attention to detail and safety• Interested in logistics, transportation, or industrial operations• Eager to transition into a hands-on civilian role with growth potential
