ABOUT THE JOB
Saber Astronautics is seeking a skilled and proactive Training Manager to lead the design, delivery, and continual improvement of training programs for our space operations tools and mission services. This role is key to ensuring that both internal operators and external customers—ranging from government agencies to commercial spacecraft operators—can confidently and effectively use Saber’s platforms in high-stakes operational environments.________________________________________Key Responsibilities• Develop, manage, and deliver technical and operational training programs for Saber’s software tools (e.g., Space Cockpit™)• Train mission operators, government customers, and commercial partners in the use of Saber’s systems for real-time space operations and decision support.• Build and maintain training materials, including manuals, presentations, e-learning modules, simulation scenarios, and certification pathways.• Customize training content for various customer segments, including U.S. DoD, allied partners, civil space agencies, and commercial clients.• Organize and facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions, workshops, and mission rehearsals.• Evaluate training outcomes and gather feedback to refine course content and improve effectiveness.• Support Saber’s test and demonstration events, such as military exercises, customer acceptance testing, and operational validation.• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to stay current on system updates and integrate new capabilities into the training curriculum.________________________________________Required Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in education, aerospace, systems engineering, operations, or a related field, or equivalent experience of 5+ years in an educational/instructor setting• 3+ years of experience in technical training, instructional design, or operations support—ideally in aerospace, defense, or a mission-critical domain.• Demonstrated ability to deliver live and virtual training sessions to technical and non-technical audiences.• Strong instructional design skills with experience developing technical documentation and training collateral.• Excellent communication, organization, and public speaking abilities.• U.S. citizenship or Australian citizenship (depending on location) with ability to obtain a government security clearance if required.________________________________________Preferred Qualifications• Background in mission operations, satellite command and control, or space systems engineering.• Experience training military or government clients in classified or tactical environments.• Familiarity with Saber’s tools, such as Space Cockpit™, or with comparable software platforms.• Certification in instructional design methodologies or training systems (e.g., ADDIE, Kirkpatrick, SCORM).• Experience with simulation-based training or gamified learning environments.
