As a fully competent Industrial Maintenance Technician, incumbent will perform repairs, preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery, plant blow mold equipment and facility. They are also responsible for following our company's Good Manufacturing Practices.
Industrial Maintenance Technician responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: - Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and with applicable laws and regulations issued by regulatory agencies. -Install, adjust and repair blow mold, trimmers, palletizer and other related equipment. -Perform mold, neck tooling changes, pin and other equipment changes. -Inspect and replace pneumatic and hydraulic hoses. -Inspect, rebuild and replace valves and pumps -Perform preventive maintenance on all related equipment. -Maintain machines in optimal processing condition. -Weld, fabricate, and repair various machines. -Troubleshoot, locate root problems and repair blow mold, baggers & support equipment. -May operate blow mold or injection machines -Communicate with other departments on a frequent basis. -Duties may differentiate by plant based on equipment and plant design. -Receives instructions on specific job task by Lead Industrial Maintenance Technician or Supervisor. -Other duties as assigned by management. -Assistance is furnished on unusual problems and work is reviewed for application of sound professional judgment.Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are minimum requirements for the job. Mold Training Observe mold changes on the manufacturing lines Preventative Maintenance Training Weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly PM Maintenance Training Take floor calls with the mechanics Chillers/Automation Training Learn to troubleshoot the chiller/cooler systems and become acquainted with the automation/robotic systems of the plant Packaging Training Learn to troubleshoot the baggers, case erectors, case date coder, sleever, Flammer, and pick n place. Learn how to replace grinder blades Electrical Arc Flash Training Recognize hazards and use safety measures to prevent electrical accidents. Self-Study Electrical Maintenance Training Complete 17 online courses and assessments at your own pace (wiring, circuits, etc.) Rebuild Training Rebuild Bagger Seal Bars and Sleever Clamps Adjust & Repair Training Adjust/repair OWI farason, OWI massman, OWI westrock & Glue Set up OIT, and L6/12 Leak Detectors Self-Study Mechanical Maintenance Training Complete 21 online courses and assessments at your own pace (hydraulics & pneumatics, troubleshooting, etc.) Self-Study Instrumentation Maintenance Training Complete 12 online courses and assessments at your own pace (instrumentation, positioners, et.) Forklift/ Scissorlift Certification Received proper training off-site that will result in a Forklift/Scissor Lift Certification
