Rutland Low Voltage designs, installs, and supports integrated low-voltage systems for commercial, educational, and institutional facilities throughout the Southeast. Our team delivers structured cabling solutions—including copper and fiber optics—along with access control, CCTV surveillance, fire alarm infrastructure, intercom and paging systems, and professional audio/AV installations. We execute projects across new construction and retrofit environments for schools, churches, warehouses, businesses, and government/military buildings, providing complete system deployment from rough-in and device installation to termination, testing, commissioning, and ongoing service support.
As a Low Voltage Technician, this role is structured as a hands-on learning opportunity, with on-the-job training provided by experienced lead technicians. The individual will work alongside the team to learn how to install and service structured cabling (copper and fiber), access control, CCTV, fire alarm infrastructure, intercom/paging, and professional audio/AV systems across active and new construction job sites. Daily tasks will include assisting with cable pulling and routing, mounting and wiring devices, completing basic terminations, labeling and documenting work, and learning proper testing and troubleshooting methods. This position is ideal for someone who is dependable, eager to learn a skilled trade, and ready to build technical knowledge through real-world field experience while working in commercial environments such as schools, churches, warehouses, businesses, and government/military facilities.
