As a Project Manager in the DOD SkillBridge Internship Program, you will play a key leadership role in directing and managing all aspects of complex projects. Acting as the primary liaison between the client, contractors, and internal teams, you will guide project execution from planning through completion. Responsibilities include developing and communicating baseline project documents—such as scope of work, schedule, execution plan, and cost estimates—while ensuring alignment across diverse stakeholders.You’ll coordinate cross-functional teams, including internal staff, prime contractors, and third-party vendors, to drive performance and deliver results within approved timelines and budgets. This role requires strong communication skills to clearly articulate complex strategies and provide status updates in a Federal Earned Value Management (EVM) environment. Additional duties include overseeing engineering and design deliverables, managing changes, and identifying risks early to enable effective mitigation strategies.
ABOUT THE JOB
As a Program Manager intern, you will support the Project Director in the execution of large-scale, complex projects exceeding $100M in revenue and long-term delivery timelines. You’ll have administrative responsibility across all phases of the project lifecycle—from proposal and design through construction and closeout.This role involves coordinating internal teams, prime contractors, and third-party vendors to meet project goals, while clearly communicating complex strategies to both internal and external stakeholders. You’ll also support the development of program plans and timelines in dynamic, high-pressure environments. A strong understanding of contract terms and conditions, scopes of work, modifications, and commissioning is essential to success in this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
