METCOR/LSI is a Veteran-owned organization with work for several government agencies (DHA, VA, HHS, etc.) to support the military community. Currently, about 10-15% of LSI employees are Veterans and we are eager to increase. The opportunity aims to create a space for Service members to gain necessary skills to transition and succeed in civilian life through observing and practicing transferable project management and learning development skills. The objective of the internship is to bridge the gap between Service members' skills and civilian work through providing a workplace learning experience that allows Service members to perform career responsibilities. Please note: The standard work hours are Eastern Time.

ABOUT THE JOB

Instructional Designers (ISDs) design, develop, implement, and maintain training materials for all LSI clients. Education requirement is: Bachelor's degree in a related field, graduate work, and/or additional certifications preferred. Specifically at LSI, Instructional Designers wear many hats to diversify their skillset and assist with the delivery of quality and innovative products. The Instructional Designer role includes, but is not limited to: Collaborate needs analysis and design of training programs to include training/task analysis and training plans. Collaborate on the design and development of Section 508 compliant learning materials. (presentations, quick reference tools, instructor and participant guides, etc.) on a variety of topics. Develop Section 508 compliant web-based training in Lectora, Captivate, Camtasia, and/or Articulate Storyline. Edit and review content. Interact with clients and end-users. Train, coach, and/or instruct others in-person or virtually. Adapt to changing technology and project demands. Deliver and/or support training in a classroom or virtual environment. Support client end-users and evaluate the efficacy of training materials. Research and study to become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on a variety of topics. QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of experience designing and developing training materials on a variety of topics.
  • 3+ years of experience designing and developing web-based training with Lectora, Captivate, Storyline, Camtasia, and other development technologies.
  • Experience in designing and developing highly interactive virtual training.
  • Experience with the ADDIE process of Instructional Design.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office with emphasis on Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Able to multitask in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Able to work/collaborate remotely.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Analytical skills and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Champion of life-long learning and self-development.
  • Experience in accessibility compliance testing preferred.

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY
