Human Resource Specialist
The University of Tennessee Space Institute (UTSI) seeks a Human Resources Specialist to provide critical support in employee benefits, recruitment, payroll administration, and HR record management. This position is responsible for coordinating and accurately executing various HR and finance-related functions, ensuring compliance with university policies and state regulations.
ABOUT THE JOB
This position works closely with the Human Resource associates, employees, and external agencies to manage HR operations, including the administration of time & labor, absence management, benefits enrollment, recruitment, and personnel records. The role also supports strategic HR initiatives to enhance employee engagement and organizational efficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide critical support in employee benefits, recruitment, payroll administration, and HR record management.
- Coordinate and accurately execute various HR and finance-related functions, ensuring compliance with university policies and state regulations.
- Work closely with Human Resource associates, employees, and external agencies to manage HR operations.
- Administer time & labor, absence management, benefits enrollment, recruitment, and personnel records.
- Support strategic HR initiatives to enhance employee engagement and organizational efficiency.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Must be located, or willing to relocate to the Tullahoma or surrounding area.
