96th Operations Support Squadron

The goal of this internship is to provide the DoD SkillBridge Intern with the training necessary to successfully certify in all ERCF control positions (to include Trainer and Watch Supervisor), maintain proficiency, and to train others in upgrade or continuationtraining. Interns will be immersed into the day-to-day operations of an Air Traffic Controller in the ERCF and obtain experience controlling traffic, training, and supervising operations. Training will be conducted via timelines and standards established in theERCF Position Certification Guides (PCG)s and Qualification Training Packages (QTP)s. Training and certifications will require or on-the-job training and over-the-shoulder certifications.

ABOUT THE JOB

Joint Test and Training Operations Control Center (JTTOCC) Range Controller builds mission schedules, interprets scheduling priorities, and coordinates mission schedule changes at the Eglin Test and Training Range.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Certify in all ERCF control positions including Trainer and Watch Supervisor.
• Maintain proficiency and train others in upgrade or continuation training.
• Immerse into the day-to-day operations of an Air Traffic Controller in the ERCF.
• Obtain experience controlling traffic, training, and supervising operations.
• Build mission schedules, interpret scheduling priorities, and coordinate mission schedule changes at the Eglin Test and Training Range.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Possess previous Air Traffic Control certifications.
• Hold a current and valid Air Traffic Safety Oversight Service (AOV) Credential.

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY

All Interns are required to possess previous Air Traffic Control certifications with a current and valid Air Traffic Safety Oversight Service (AOV) Credential.
