ABOUT THE POSITIONAs a Litigation Attorney Intern at Jimerson Birr, you will play a pivotal role in managing commercial disputes and advocating for clients in high-stakes litigation. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage a diverse caseload of commercial litigation matters
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and develop case strategies
• Handle motions practice, discovery, depositions, and trial preparation
• Advocate in court proceedings, arbitrations, and mediations
• Work collaboratively with attorneys and paralegal teams to support litigation needs
• Stay informed on legal regulations, case law, and industry trends
• Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships

QUALIFICATIONS

• A J.D. degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the Florida Bar or eligibility to obtain it
• 2+ years of litigation experience, including military legal service (JAG or related roles preferred)
• Strong oral and written advocacy skills
• The ability to work independently and lead in high-pressure situations

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY
