ABOUT THE JOB

ABOUT THE POSITIONAs a Litigation Attorney Intern at Jimerson Birr, you will play a pivotal role in managing commercial disputes and advocating for clients in high-stakes litigation. RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A J.D. degree from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the Florida Bar or eligibility to obtain it
  • 2+ years of litigation experience, including military legal service (JAG or related roles preferred)
  • Strong oral and written advocacy skills
  • The ability to work independently and lead in high-pressure situations

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY

Knowledge & SkillsMinimum of 5 years’ experience as a paralegal (or equivalent military experience in legal administration)Strong research, analytical, and writing skillsFamiliarity with legal document management and e-discovery platformsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and legal case management softwareExperience in litigation, particularly in civil law; family law experience is a plusKnowledge of state and federal court filing proceduresAttitude & HabitsHighly organized self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environmentDetail-oriented with strong time-management skillsAdaptable and eager to learn within a growing law practiceClient-service mindset with strong communication skillsTeam-oriented, but also capable of independent work and problem-solvingWhy Jimerson Birr?Success in this position extends beyond technical competence—it is about personal and professional fulfillment.
