ABOUT THE JOB
The Emergency Manager Associate (EMA) role is an entry-level role that is critical for our organization’s growth and evolving technical and managerial workforce. The position is integrated into the planning, execution, risk mitigation, response, and maintenance of various emergency operation scenarios to save lives and protect property throughout the United States. The position plays an important role to reduce the vulnerability of the citizens and the communities impacted by damage, injury, and loss of life and property resulting from terrorism, natural disasters, and major emergencies. The EMA shall coordinate activities relating to the prevention, mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery of emergency response situations. Due to the nature of the company’s work, this position is 100% in-person (no teleworking is permitted).The work week is 40 hours, 8 hours a day. The typical day includes 1 hour of establishing daily goals, reviewing the previous day's work, and preparing for the current day. The remaining 7 hours of work will be learning objectives as described below. This will include attending meetings, collaborating with the host/mentor, completing learning objectives, accomplish tasks as assigned, and deploy to disaster relief locations.
RESPONSIBILITIES

- Plays an important role to reduce the vulnerability of the citizens and the communities impacted by damage, injury, and loss of life and property resulting from terrorism, natural disasters, and major emergencies.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Entry-level role suitable for growing technical and managerial skills.
- Ability to work 100% in-person at Gothams HQ in downtown Austin, TX.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week, participating in learning objectives, attending meetings, and deploying to disaster relief locations.
