Technical Support Specialist Training Program
The following training curriculum introduces core Knowledge [K], Skills [S], Abilities [A], and Tasks [T] (KSATs) as related to the Technical Support Specialist work role [NIST Work Role ID: 411 (NIST: OM-TS-001)]. The following Program Modules (PMs) address cybersecurity concepts as related to providing technical support to customer who need assistance utilizing client level hardware/software in accordance with established or approved organizational process components and are presented within a cybersecurity competency framework tailored to meet current-state needs and consider future-state industry requirements.
ABOUT THE JOB
The Technical Support Specialist will have the necessary industry-required certification(s) and associated KSAT acumen to provide technical support to customers who need assistance utilizing client-level hardware/software in accordance with established/approved organizational process components and will be well-versed in computer networking concepts, protocols, and network security methodologies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide technical support to customers needing assistance with client-level hardware/software.
- Ensure support is in accordance with established or approved organizational process components.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have necessary industry-required certification(s).
- Must possess KSAT acumen related to the Technical Support Specialist role.
- Well-versed in computer networking concepts, protocols, and network security methodologies.
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY
Must have Active Security Clearance ranging from Secret to TS/SCI.
