Emergency Medical Technician
The program prepares students to become competent entry-level Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), Advanced EMTs, and Paramedics. Students have classroom, online and clinical rotation hours to complete for each class.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare students to become competent entry-level Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), Advanced EMTs, and Paramedics.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must score 249 or higher on the CASAS tests or provide an official college transcript showing successful completion of college level English within the last 10 years.
- Must have a driver's license or state issued ID.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
- Must complete required immunizations.
- Ability to complete clinical shifts ranging from 4 to 12 hours, including one in the ER and three in the field.

- EMT Initial and Advanced count towards the Associates Paramedic degree program.
PROGRAM COST
Tuition/Fees $205 (tuition, insurance and CPR card fee, textbook and CPR book $400, Uniforms $200 (class t-shirt, pant and boots), Immunizations ($150 (Flu vac, Hep B, TB Skin test, others), Background/Drug Screen $90. Students that are members in good standing with public safety agencies may be fee exempt for the course registration/tuition fees but not the insurance, CPR card and other fees.
OTHER
EMT Initial and Advanced count towards the Associates Paramedic degree program.
