Compass Rose Public Schools SkillBridge Intern Program Internship
Skillbridge interns will serve as Math or ELA Teacher Assistants in one of our public charter schools. Content and school placement will be discussed as part of the interview process that aligns with both school needs and the intern’s demonstrated area of interest. As a part of this job training program, Interns will learn the key components of push-in and pull-out academic/social-emotional intervention as well as core instruction. In addition to instructional training, they will also gain valuable experience in family engagement, student recruitment/enrollment, and campus operations, providing Service Members valuable skills that will help them support student engagement and, ultimately, support employment post-internship in public charter schools.
ABOUT THE JOB
Position Reports To: Campus PrincipalPlease Note: SkillBridge is only available to active-duty service members who would begin the program within 180 days of their separation date, meaning it is exclusively for transitioning military personnel and not open to civilians or veterans who are not currently serving. RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree (Any Field) or Plan to Complete Bachelors within 1 Semester.
- Commitment to working in traditionally underserved communities.
- Ability to pass a federal background check to work with children.
- Approval from current supervisor through the SkillBridge program requirements.
- Experience working with K-12 students is highly preferred.
