Capovilla & Williams, LLC offers a 26-week SkillBridge training program designed to prepare transitioning Service Members for a career as a paralegal/legal assistant in a private law firm specializing in federal and military law. Participants will receive hands-on training across multiple practice areas including Federal Employment Law, Military Justice, Veterans Disability Claims, Title IX matters, and administrative law. The program emphasizes practical skills development in legal research, case management, client communication, and litigation support.
Participants will train alongside attorneys, paralegals, and investigators to develop core competencies required in a legal practice. Duties include assisting with case file management, drafting legal documents and correspondence, organizing evidence, supporting litigation preparation, and communicating with clients. Trainees will gain exposure to federal employment disputes, military justice proceedings, administrative actions, and civil claims. By the end of the program, participants will be prepared to perform entry-level paralegal duties in a fast-paced legal environment.
