FWS Visitor Services

This opportunity is with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services (USFWS) supporting a National Wildlife Refuge working with a federal agency within the Department of the Interior.

ABOUT THE JOB

Representing the National Wildlife Refuge by providing visitor contact by phone, in person, or email, including conveying accurate information; explaining rules and regulations; roving trails with the purpose of speaking to and educating visitors; coordination and collaboration with volunteers, partners and FWS staff. May include researching, developing, and leading public programs; walking and monitoring trails and campgrounds; assisting with education programs; or other.

RESPONSIBILITIES✨

• Provide visitor contact by phone, in person, or email, including conveying accurate information.
• Explain rules and regulations of the National Wildlife Refuge.
• Rove trails with the purpose of speaking to and educating visitors.
• Coordinate and collaborate with volunteers, partners, and FWS staff.
• Research, develop, and lead public programs; walk and monitor trails and campgrounds; assist with education programs.

QUALIFICATIONS✨

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Enjoys talking with a wide range of people and engaging with the general public.
