Facilities & Management Internship

Intercollegiate athletics internship on the Facilities and Event Management staff in the Department of Athletics at Florida State University.

ABOUT THE JOB

Internship will provide opportunity to gain experience assisting the Associate Athletics Director for Facility and Event Management with the planning, coordination, and execution of home event management and game operations for all sports. Will experience working with coaches and administration on logistics and operations of all home events, including officials; assisting with updating policy and procedure guides for home game operations, oversight of all staff supporting home contests, interface with spectators, visiting teams, outside vendors, and University stakeholders; assisting with the planning, coordinating, and executing ACC Championships and NCAA postseason tournaments and competitions hosted by FSU Athletics both on and off campus; performing contractual and purchase order services and support for athletics; adhering to budgetary directives as assigned by the Associate Athletics Director of Facility and Event Management; managing daily operations, maintenance, and scheduling of athletic venues and fields for assigned sports; submitting and logging maintenance work requests and monitoring responses and progress of work; performing administrative duties associated with requisitions and purchase orders; coordination of building and event security efforts by working with FSU Police and contract security personnel for assigned sports; assist in the coordination of capital projects and serving as the Athletics Department liaison during in progress construction; assist in administrative duties, on a rotating basis, to include, but not limited to: radio management and maintenance; coordination of pest control, inventory and acquisition of office supplies; usage, maintenance, and inventory of Athletics owned utility vehicles; and major accountable property management; and perform other work as assigned, including representing the Department of Athletics with internal and external agencies, both on and off campus.

RESPONSIBILITIES✨

• Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing ACC Championships and NCAA postseason tournaments and competitions.
• Manage daily operations, maintenance, and scheduling of athletic venues and fields for assigned sports.
• Perform administrative duties such as managing requisitions, purchase orders, and coordinating building and event security efforts.
