A Program Analyst supports the staff with objectively based information/data analysis for making decisions on the administrative and programmatic aspects of agency operations and grant / program management. Monitors, reviews, and maintains tracking systems for incoming grant applications and request log actions, grantee reports, disbursement requests, and other grant management documents, and prepares reports and reconciles monthly. Maintains grant management files, tracker, and databases. Prepares documents, reports for execution, and ensures necessary approvals as required. Answers grant related questions and/or drafts responses to oral and written inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
ABOUT THE JOB
Provides program staff, and other grantees with technical assistance, including data analysis support, the interpretation of and application of grant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures in assigned areas. Assist the office leadership in oversight of FTA projects and provide project management advice to assist in the implementation and completion of FTA projects. Assist the leadership in the planning, operations, and review of agency grants, programs, and projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to analyze data for decision making.
- Experience in managing and maintaining tracking systems and databases.
- Ability to prepare detailed reports and ensure necessary approvals.
- Capability to respond to inquiries and provide technical assistance related to grants.
- Knowledge of grant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY
Must be available to report in-person in Chicago, IL; there may be a possibility for telework, but there is expectation for Interns to be available to report in-person to Chicago, IL office to meet FTA mission requirements.
