This opportunity is with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services (USFWS) in support of National Wildlife Refuge which is a federal agency within the Department of the Interior. Assist with habitat management, wildlife monitoring, and refuge management, contributing to the conservation of native species and the upkeep of refuge infrastructure.
Assist with biological inventory and monitoring efforts which may include field surveys; working outside in inclement weather; data entry; importing data; summarizing reports or data analysis; and/or communication of biological efforts or results. Gain hands-on experience in biological fieldwork while working alongside refuge staff. Develop practical skills and develop a strong foundation in conservation stewardship while learning to control invasive species, maintain trails, and conduct biological surveys.
