The candidate will have extensive experience operating and programming CNC machinery, including lathes, mills, wire EDM, and water jetting systems. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in precision machining, capable of working with various materials to produce high-quality parts and components.
ABOUT THE JOB
Key Responsibilities:• Operate CNC Machinery: Set up, program, and operate CNC lathes, mills, wire EDM, and water jetting machines to produce precision parts according to technical drawings and specifications.• Programming: Utilize CAD/CAM software to create and modify CNC programs for efficient and accurate machining.• Material Handling: Select and prepare materials for machining, ensuring the correct type and quantity are used for each job.• Quality Control: Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers) to ensure parts meet exact specifications and tolerances.• Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of machining processes, including setup sheets, inspection reports, and production logs.• Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and production teams to review designs and suggest improvements for manufacturability and efficiency.• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe operation of machinery.________________________________________Qualifications:• Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience operating CNC machinery, with specific experience in lathe, mill, wire EDM, and water jetting systems preferred.• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification in CNC machining or a related field preferred.• Skills:o Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.o Strong understanding of CNC programming languages (e.g., G-code, M-code).o Ability to work with a variety of materials, including metals, plastics, and composites.o Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.• Physical Requirements:o Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.o Prolonged periods standing, bending, and working with machinery.
