Customer Service/Sales/Accounting Internship
Internship to familiarize/train individual as a Customer Service/Sales/Accounting specialist at a fabrication company.
ABOUT THE JOB
Selectee will be trained to complete most of the company’s sales office roles, functions, and daily operations occurrences. Selectee will participate in the organizations Safety program, adhering to all safety rules and requirements. Selectee will become familiar with the fabrication procedures for various materials used by the organization to fabricate custom countertops. Selectee will be responsible for the operation of all office equipment and familiarized with the various software programs used by Granite City Alaska.Selectee will be familiarized with the materials used for countertops, their vendors and the particulars for procuring the required materials.Selectee will be taught the various steps in countertop design, fabrication, and installation, and how the organization schedules their completion.Selectee will communicate effectively, handling customer questions or complaints, and provide resolutions to ensure customer satisfaction.Selectee will become proficient at the techniques for building customer relationships, strategies for up-selling and cross-selling.Selectee will convert leads/quotes into jobs/work orders, produce invoices, collect payment, and process job paperwork.Selectee will process documents, create files, collect payments, post payments, and file documents in the appropriate places.Selectee will create invoices, save jobs, access reports, print requested reports.Selectee will create and manage invoices, managing receivables and posting to the correct account.Selectee will deal with delinquent accounts, and apply the progressive steps the organization uses for collection.Selectee will process vendor invoices, and local area bills.Selectee will process payroll events, to include insurance, 401k enrollment, and maintenance, PTO, and work absences.
RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and lift at least 50 lbs.
