A member of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s Logistics team supports CISAs efforts to enhance the security, resiliency, and reliability of the Nation’s cyber and physical infrastructure. Students will learn the centralized logistics programs that support a diverse mission and workforce that spans the entire nation.

ABOUT THE JOB

This role is located the in Arlington/Ballston/NCR. The budget analyst will be responsible for developing, analyzing, and executing budgets for the Vulnerability Management subdivision ensuring the resources are properly planned for mission achievement. They will work closely with leadership to ensure that budgets are realistic and aligned with overall mission strategy. Additionally, they will be expected to monitor spending, prepare financial reports, and identify potential cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies. Perform budget execution work during the execution phase involving the monitoring of incurred and actual expenditures of a budget with different sources of funding. Research, compile, and summarize data involving obligations, expenses, and object class/line item information, narrative information, and quantitative budgetary data for use in preparing budget estimates. Monitor and track obligations and expenditures for base support functions throughout the execution phase of the annual operating budget. Analyze data submitted for consistency with financial and program objectives, and adherence to instructions. Preparing and consolidating a variety of special and recurring budget reports covering status of funds, expenses, and obligations. Developing singular, specific, and multi-audience presentations, summaries, and other communications in a clear and concise manner to organize work assignments. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing, analyzing, and executing budgets for the Vulnerability Management subdivision.
  • Monitoring spending, preparing financial reports, and identifying potential cost-saving opportunities.
  • Performing budget execution work during the execution phase involving monitoring of incurred and actual expenditures.
  • Researching, compiling, and summarizing data involving obligations, expenses, and object class/line item information for preparing budget estimates.
  • Monitoring and tracking obligations and expenditures for base support functions throughout the execution phase of the annual operating budget.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be in the NORVA / NCR area.
  • Secret clearance required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong arithmetic and mathematical reasoning skills.
  • Experience using Excel and creating dashboards and reports using Power BI.

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY

Participant must be in the NORVA / NCR area. Secret clearance required. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, Problem solving abilities. Strong arithmetic and mathematical reasoning skills. Enjoys interacting across groups (internal stakeholder interaction) to come up with effective solutions. Experience using Excel. Experience creating dashboards and reports using Power BI.
