The Field Service Technician is responsible for performing calibration and preventative maintenance on basic industrial weighing equipment such as floor and bench scales. This role requires the technician to work independently, adhering to METTLER TOLEDO procedures and customer requirements. The technician is also expected to assist with installations, projects, and repairs as needed. Key responsibilities include conducting end-user training, maintaining our weighing equipment that could include performing Electro-Mechanical repairs, achieving productivity targets, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The position involves frequent customer interaction, promoting services and products, and managing inventory levels. The technician will be required to travel, using a company vehicle, and may face exposure to various workplace hazards. This role is essential in ensuring customer uptime and satisfaction, as well as maintaining the integrity of company operations and service delivery.
Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with METTLER TOLEDO procedures and customer requirements, maintaining the service vehicle per fleet policies, and promoting service and product sales. The role requires accurate completion of paperwork, collaboration with customers and colleagues, and adherence to safety and quality policies to meet customer uptime requirements. To succeed in this role, candidates should possess a valid driver's license and a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent experience in a relevant technical field. Preferred qualifications include an associate degree in a technical major and customer-facing or field service experience. The role demands basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical repair, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to learn proprietary software. Candidates must be willing to travel, work overtime, and comply with safety regulations, including drug testing. This position would be based around the Kent, Renton, Tacoma, WA areas. You would be provided a service vehicle and would travel daily to different customer sites providing preventative maintenance, service/repair, and installs of our weighing equipment.
