The Northern California Regional Intelligence Center (NCRIC) and the Northern California High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (NC HIDTA) operate in partnership to strengthen public safety across Northern California. NCRIC serves as a regional fusion center that collects, analyzes, and shares intelligence related to crime, terrorism, critical infrastructure, cybersecurity, and other public safety threats, while NC HIDTA coordinates and supports multi-agency efforts to reduce drug trafficking, drug-related crime, and related financial and organized criminal activity. Together, they provide intelligence sharing, investigative support, training, interagency coordination, and threat-focused collaboration for law enforcement, public safety, public health, and private sector partners.
Under direction, perform crime analysis including difficult statistical and legal research relating to crime pattern detection, suspect-crime correlation, target-suspect data, and crime forecasts.
