Apple’s SkillBridge Fellowship Program offers transitioning service members a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in a dynamic, corporate environment during their final six months of military service. Through this full-time fellowship, participants gain exposure to the rhythm and culture at Apple, while building professional relationships, refining their civilian workplace skills, and contributing to impactful projects in a supportive setting.Fellows are embedded within teams and given access to training and networking opportunities designed to help them navigate the transition from military to civilian careers with confidence. The program is structured to offer a meaningful, real-world experience that complements their military background and prepares them for future career success in the private sector.
Job Location: San Diego, California Job Description: We are looking for a motivated and service oriented individual, who loves working on infrastructure. You must enjoy working on multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment that fosters growth, teamwork and innovation. Some of your day to day actives will include:- Maintaining a fleet of hundreds of iOS/macOS devices and peripherals across multiple labs- Ensure devices and systems are up and available for testing- Provisioning and deployment of released hardware- Debugging and trouble shooting device hardware/software failures- Developing scripts and automation for managing machine configuration and software deployment- Provide support to engineering in debugging systemsMinimum QualificationsExperience managing device labs and their physical infrastructure including networkingExperience managing test automation across numerous physical hardware devices and platformsStrong software and hardware debugging skillsAbility to write scripts to automate lab infrastructure and system administrative tasks, such as configuration managements and infrastructure monitoringBachelors degree in Computer Science or Engineering3-5 years of related work experiencePreferred QualificationsExperience with CI/CD process and adjacent tools e.g. JenkinsExperience in Python or similar languagesExperience testing applications and triaging issues on iOS and macOSExperience with Xcode and SwiftComputer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, and complexity analysis)Understanding of performance testing methodologies and strategiesExperience with software development processes such as building, unit testing, code analysis, release process, and code coverage
