We are looking for a highly organized, proactive, and focused Junior or Mid-Level Financial Analyst who enjoys working in a fast-paced, team environment. The person who fills this Financial Analyst position will provide support in the following areas: program budget, program progress tracking, as well as financial tracking and reporting. This person will provide support to high-ranking NSWC PCD personnel by using Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting to identify areas of risk to costs, schedule, and performance. They will support the development of program progress, tracking using financial data available from government-owned, web-based tools.
Highlight of Responsibilities: • Provide data entry, structure builds, and generate reports employing the Navy Enterprise-wide Resource Planning (ERP) tool and Enterprise Digital Capabilities (EDC).• Update and maintain configuration management of planning documents.• Prepare and submit monthly Plan versus Actual (PvA) reports.• Apply Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting to identify areas of risk to costs, schedule, and performance.• Develop financial inputs for additional reports, briefs, and other documentation.• Respond to financial data calls.Required Education, Experience and Certifications: • Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance, Management, or Business.• Eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Desired Qualifications:• Three or more years of recent, relevant Department of the Navy (DON) support experience, preferably financial in nature and related to acquisition programs. • Experience within Excel inputting and analyzing data using advanced functions and formulas. • Experience in team cooperation, to include cross training and meeting hard deadlines. • Experience using ERP or EDC, including the ability to provide data entry, structure builds, and generate reports.• Recent, hands-on experience with: Naval Systems Engineering Resource Center (NSERC) sites, Microsoft Teams sites, Configuration Management Professional (CMPro), Littoral Combat Ship Mission Modules Program Office (PMS 420) Tools, Microsoft Power BI or Tableau development, and PCDWeb.• Highly proficient with the Microsoft suite of tools including Teams, Outlook, Word, and Excel.• An active, Department of Defense (DoD) Security clearance preferredTravel:• Travel is not a current requirement for this position.Tools and Technology:• Naval Systems Engineering Resource Center (NSERC) sites• Navy Enterprise-wide Resource Planning (ERP)• Enterprise Digital Capabilities (EDC)• Microsoft TEAMS sites • PMS 420 Tool• NSWC PCD Power BI reports• NEPS• CMPro• PCDWebWorking Conditions:• Work will primarily be conducted at NSWC PCD. • IPS is a drug-free employer.• U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions.
