The Aerospace and Defense Business Development Internship is designed to provide transitioning service members with practical experience and industry-specific knowledge. Participants will gain insight into the principles of business strategy, government contracting, and market analysis while working alongside experienced professionals in the field.
• Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify opportunities and assess competitive positioning in the defense industry. • Develop and implement a forward-looking business development strategy tailored to the Aerospace and Defense sector. • Support the creation of high-quality proposals, presentations, and strategic plans that align with DoD requirements. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, legal, and product development) to align initiatives and deliver value to stakeholders. • Provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations based on industry trends, customer needs, and market dynamics. • Assist in tracking and reporting on key performance metrics to aid senior management in decision-making.
The internship is unpaid during the training period. However, participants will remain on active-duty pay and benefits through the DoD SkillBridge program.
