ABOUT THE POSITIONSummaryThe SkillBridge Litigation Paralegal will play a crucial role in supporting Jimerson Birr’s litigation team by managing case files, drafting legal documents, coordinating court deadlines, and ensuring smooth case progression. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct legal research and assist attorneys with case preparation
  • Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, and correspondence
  • Manage case files and document organization using legal case management software
  • Coordinate and track court deadlines, hearings, and depositions
  • Assist with e-filing and paper filings in state and federal courts
  • Facilitate communication between attorneys, clients, court personnel, and third parties
  • Provide administrative support such as scheduling, workflow management, and document preparation
  • Participate in firm-sponsored professional development initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a paralegal or equivalent military experience in legal administration
  • Strong research, analytical, and writing skills
  • Familiarity with legal document management and e-discovery platforms
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and legal case management software
  • Experience in litigation, particularly in civil law; family law experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of state and federal court filing procedures
  • Highly organized self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong time-management skills
  • Adaptable and eager to learn within a growing law practice
  • Client-service mindset with strong communication skills
  • Team-oriented, but also capable of independent work and problem-solving
