An Internship for Mental Health Counselor and Administrative Coordinator at a non-profit organization offers a hands-on learning experience for individuals interested in mental health and organizational management. The internship is designed to provide exposure to both clinical and administrative aspects of the non-profit’s operations.
As a Mental Health Counseling Intern, the individual will assist licensed counselors in providing therapeutic support to clients, which may include conducting initial assessments, participating in group therapy sessions, and observing one-on-one counseling. They will gain insight into various mental health challenges, learn treatment plan development, and practice client-centered communication under supervision.In the Administrative Coordinator Intern role, the intern will assist in organizing and maintaining client records, scheduling appointments, and ensuring the smooth operation of office functions. They may support event planning, help manage communications with donors or volunteers, and assist with outreach efforts to promote the non-profit’s services. The intern will also have opportunities to learn about non-profit management, such as assisting with grant applications, reporting, and fundraising initiatives.
This position is open to all members to move into Mental Health career fields regardless of background in the military. No prerequisites are required.
