Financial Analyst Training
A Financial Analyst conducts differentiated research on energy, materials, and industrial companies, providing valuable insights and recommendations for the portfolio manager. By the end of the program, a successful candidate will be able to perform in-depth financial analysis, complex modeling, industry research, and valuation work. The aim of the day-to-day work is to develop differentiated investment theses for the assigned company coverage and produce value-added written research. This will require basic commercial awareness and an elevated level of subject matter expertise in the sector. Highly developed communication skills and diplomacy are needed to guide, influence, and convince investment partners and the portfolio manager of the analyst's recommendations.
ABOUT THE JOB
-Responsibilities include: building financial models, writing research reports, conducting macroeconomic analysis on global energy, materials, and industrial businesses, communicating our team's ideas to institutional investors, and conducting due diligence.- Self-starter: used to working in a team environment and has the ambition to progress his/her career within institutional investing.- Make Investment Recommendations- Interact with Investment Partners- Arrange company visits and regular management contact for investing clients and due diligence purposes- Attend industry conferences and speak to industry contacts- Track company events and earnings- Develop financial models and valuation techniques- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Massif Capital, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
