This internship is designed specifically for individuals transitioning out of the military,offering an opportunity to develop new skills and gain hands-on experience ingovernment and grant proposal writing. As a Junior Government and Grant ProposalWriter, you will support the preparation of proposals for government contracts andgrants. You’ll learn how to research opportunities, write compelling proposals, andcollaborate with cross-functional teams, while applying your military-acquired discipline,problem-solving skills, and attention to detail to this civilian career pathway.
Skills required:● Strong written and verbal communication skills● Ability to research and analyze complex information● Attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)● Team collaboration and problem-solving skills● Willingness to learn the government contracting and grant writing processPrimary Responsibilities:● Assist with drafting, editing, and organizing proposal documents in response togovernment solicitations and grant opportunities● Research government and grant opportunities and identify potential matches forthe company● Collaborate with senior team members to ensure compliance with proposalrequirements● Learn and apply best practices in proposal writing, formatting, and submission● Track and document proposal submissions and outcomesQualifications: (Required)● Military training/experience in a related field (e.g., communications, logistics,operations, or analysis)● Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks● Fluent in EnglishPreferred (but not required):● Familiarity with government contracting or grant writing● Experience working in fast-paced, detail-oriented environments● Knowledge of platforms like SAM.gov, Grants.gov, or similarPhysical demands:● Minimal physical demands; primarily desk-based work
