The Technical Prototyping & Microcontroller Engineer designs, builds, and tests embedded systems and ruggedized hardware for real-world applications. This role involves programming microcontrollers, integrating sensors and wireless communications, and developing mechanical enclosures using CAD and rapid prototyping tools. Engineers work across electrical, firmware, and mechanical disciplines to create functional prototypes and iterate based on testing and performance data. The position emphasizes hands-on development, troubleshooting, and field validation of systems. Training is primarily on-the-job and adapts to active engineering projects and requirements.
An Engineer designs, develops, tests, and improves technical systems, products, and prototypes to solve real-world problems. The role involves working with hardware, software, mechanical components, and embedded systems while supporting research, development, and field testing activities. Engineers collaborate across multiple disciplines to build reliable and effective solutions for operational and commercial environments.
Strong technical background and/or institutional education in Engineering disciplines is preferred.
