Apple is seeking a Wireless Systems Engineer to apply their technical expertise in RF technology to user research in support of the design and development of Apple’s wireless products. In the Wireless Systems Engineer role you will support all phases of product development in the context of wireless connectivity during common everyday use. They will work closely with cross-functional teams in both Austin and Cupertino, including Human Factors, Antenna Design, RF Design, QA, Software, and more.
(W1) Wireless Systems Engineer - Human Factors Collaborate with internal and cross-functional partners in defining critical research questions to inform RF/wireless product developmentIdentify and understand users characteristics, environments and use cases related to RF/wireless connectivity that can impact target performance metricsDesign and execute user studies to quantify end-to-end RF/wireless system performance and root cause potential shortcomingsProcess, analyze and visualize data to formulate insights and inform product decision/trade-offsCommunicate results and insights to XF stakeholdersEducation & ExperienceMS or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (or related major), or equivalent industry experience required3+ years of experience working in RF/wireless technologies, object-oriented programming, data analysis/visualization, statistics and human-centered research
