Utilizing a professional accounting knowledge, provides accounting assistance in the solution of accounting problems, and implementation of new or changed regulations, procedures or systems. Performs those professional accounting activities involved in the maintenance of accountingrecords; preparation, analysis and interpretation of financial statements and reports; determination of those modifications of prescribed systems to meet management needs and providing for the use of accounting media to solve management problems.
ABOUT THE JOB
Provides advice and assistance to operating officials of AMC, TACOM, and depot's concerning application of accounting techniques and processes in relation to the needs offinancial management. Participates in the development of operations. Serves as a focal point for installation managers, high officials, and employees for customer service with the Defense Finance and Accounting Service centralized or local accounting operation and the Systems Application and Products (SAP) software. Provide reviews and analysis on program execution with established plans. Studies financial data and prepares documentation for managers or deviations from program plans. Supplies accounting and financial reports and other information of a factual nature, including cost reports, cash forecasts, standard and special ratios, data reflecting the interrelations of accounting and cost budgeting computes, estimates or predicts the effect of proposed changes in the operating programs on accounting operations and services, or on operational costs, income, expenditures, etc.

- Professional accounting knowledge.
