The IWP Instructor and Construction Management Internship will provide service members with industry recognized certifications and on the job experience. These certifications and experience will prepare them for a job in trades instruction and construction management
ABOUT THE JOB
The training will prepare participants to do multiple jobs: Trades Career Instructor: Will train high school students in hands on construction industry techniques and offer students opportunity for industry certification through NCCER curriculum. Construction Manager: Oversee mid to large scale construction projects, to include: project estimating/bidding,, budget development/tracking, scheduling/field logistics, supply/inventory management/contract management, customer relations, Labor training/management,
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Train high school students in hands-on construction industry techniques
- Offer students opportunity for industry certification through NCCER curriculum
- Oversee mid to large scale construction projects
- Manage project estimating/bidding, budget development/tracking, and scheduling/field logistics
- Handle supply/inventory management and contract management
- Maintain customer relations
- Manage labor training and management
