About Zapps WholesaleZapps Wholesale is a wholesale distribution company, providing truckloads of raw, unprocessed products to our customers, whether they have retail stores, bin stores, sell online, or export overseas. Our facility operates on a truckload in/truckload out basis, managing inbound and outbound truckloads throughout the week. The Processing facility consists of truckloads of product being sorted and staged for Processed Truckload sales.
About the roleIn this role, you will work on our Sales team as a Product Specialist. The successful candidate will provide support to our Sales team and assist with various tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our sales process. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting both the sales and operations teams to ensure that products are properly staged, organized, and ready for sale. This role requires a proactive individual who can work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment while maintaining high standards for product presentation. This position will report directly to the Sales Director, communicating daily with the Operations team to assist in proper communication between the two teams.Responsibilities Assist the Sales team in achieving sales targets and objectivesWork closely with the operations team to receive incoming inventory shipmentsCommunicate with sales team to understand their needs and provide them with accurate and timely information about our products and services/act as subject matter expert on calls when needed by sales teamOrganize and stage product according to sales team requirements and prioritiesMaintain customer databases and ensure all customer information is accurate and up-to-datePrepare and present sales/product reports and data to managementAssist operations team in maintaining a visually appealing and organized warehouse environment that enhances the presentation of productsImplement merchandising strategies to optimize warehouse environment that enhances the presentation of productsComplete sales to operations work orders to ensure load accuracyAssist in the coordination of sales events, trade shows, and other promotional activitiesProvide support to the Sales team, including scheduling appointments and managing calendarsBuild strategies for improving the overall sales and marketing experienceAbility to communicate in a professional, positive, courteous manner at all times with all levels of customers, clients, visitors and peersWorks collaboratively with peers and other departments, keeping appropriate individuals informed to assure positive relationships are maintainedHandle multiple priorities across the organization in an efficient mannerMaintain a clean and organized work space (including regular housekeeping tasks)Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages or discrepancies to the operations and sales teamsAssist in conducting regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies as neededCollaborate with sales and operations teams to assist with fluid and effective communication amongst team members for a positive customer and team member experienceCandidate requirementsStrong Communication SkillsSelf-driven and motivated mindsetValid Driver’s LicenseStrong Leadership SkillsBasic Computer SkillsSome travel requiredAble to work standing for 8 hour shifts and lift 50 lbs regularly Forklift ExperienceDetailsPrimary location - Shelby, NC90 day Probationary periodFull TimeBenefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, Telehealth)Employer Paid Life InsurancePaid Time Off PlanPaid Holidays401K Match
