The Business Development SkillBridge Intern at Wilder Systems supports the growth of advanced robotic automation solutions enabling “lights-out” aerospace manufacturing and maintenance. The intern conducts market research, maps DoD and industry stakeholders, and assists in developing customer-focused use cases for Agile Manufacturing Robots (AMR) and Robotics-as-a-Service (RaaS) offerings. Under mentorship, they contribute to outreach, pipeline tracking, and proposal support while gaining experience translating operational challenges into scalable automation solutions. This structured program builds civilian-ready skills in business development, stakeholder engagement, and technical solution positioning within defense and industrial markets.
By program completion, the Service Member will be able to:Explain and position “lights-out” manufacturing concepts in aerospace and defense contextsTranslate depot and production floor problems into robotic automation use casesMap DoD maintenance and manufacturing stakeholders and pathways to adoptionSupport RaaS business development, including pricing logic, ROI framing, and deployment modelsConduct compliant defense outreach and manage opportunity pipelinesSupport proposal, white paper, and pilot deployment documentationCivilian-Transferable Skills: robotics market research, technical sales support, CRM management, proposal writing, stakeholder engagement, operations analysis, solution positioning
