We are hiring a Project Management Specialist to lead complex aerospace and defense development programs that include both hardware and software components. This role requires coordination of multidisciplinary teams, compliance with defense contracting standards, and oversight of full project lifecycles in support of advanced air, ground, or space systems.
Tasks:- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business and customer objectives.- Develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, and status reports.Identify and manage project dependencies, risks, and critical path activities.- Coordinate activities and deliverables across engineering, manufacturing, cybersecurity, and QA functions.- Communicate project status to stakeholders, government clients, and internal leadership.- Review and ensure technical documentation meets regulatory and contractual requirements.- Prepare proposals, cost estimates, and program performance metrics (e.g., EVMS reporting).- Conduct project postmortems and create recommendations for process improvement.Work Activities:- Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates: Deliver regular briefings, reports, and updates to program stakeholders.- Organizing, Planning, and Prioritizing Work: Use PM tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira) to coordinate resources and meet deadlines.- Interacting with Computers: Manage data, schedules, and documentation through collaborative software platforms.- Monitoring and Controlling Resources: Track budgets, timelines, and labor hours across multiple functional areas.- Coordinating the Work and Activities of Others: Lead integrated product teams and facilitate cross-departmental planning.- Documenting/Recording Information: Ensure traceable documentation of project activities, risks, and decision logs.Detailed Work Activities:- Create and maintain detailed project schedules, WBS, and critical path diagrams.- Analyze technology roadmaps and identify hardware/software development dependencies.- Coordinate with procurement and subcontractor teams for component delivery and integration.

Work Context:- EnvironmentWork is primarily conducted indoors in climate-controlled settings, with occasional requirements to work outdoors for tasks such as site surveys, demonstrations and experiments, or system troubleshooting/maintenance. Occasional site visits to labs, manufacturing floors, or testing ranges. Work involves interaction with classified systems and export-controlled technologies.- Communication:Regular interaction with engineers, developers, QA personnel, vendors, and government stakeholders. High reliance on written documentation, formal reporting, and customer presentations. Daily team meetings (in-person or remote) for status alignment and task tracking.- Collaboration:Works with cross-functional integrated product teams (IPTs) including RF, software, embedded systems, and cybersecurity professionals, vendors, and stakeholders.Reports to Chief Technology Officer (CTO) or Engineering Lead and interfaces with government/client/subcontractor Program Managers. Must balance technical objectives with cost and schedule constraints while facilitating shared accountability.
