MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Work closely with the Communications Director to develop and produce internal communication plans and tools to improve OS operations through a more effective communication process.Develop and manage content, campaigns, and engagement strategies across platforms to promote the division’s mission and key initiatives while ensuring brand consistency and accessibility.Oversee digital and marketing content including websites, newsletters, and internal communications—collaborating with cross-functional teams to produce materials that inform, engage, and reflect organizational priorities, while monitoring performance and refining strategies based on analytics.Support executive and internal communications through the development of talking points, briefing materials, and coordinated messaging—ensuring alignment across leadership and contributing to long-term communication planning and reputation management.Collaborate with regional Communication Management Offices to ensure consistency in messaging and strategy across CBP operations.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Demonstrates knowledge and hands-on experience in video editing and multimedia content creation, including proficiency with industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve). Skilled in developing engaging and visually compelling content tailored for diverse social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), and LinkedIn. Ability to conceptualize, script, edit, and optimize multimedia content that aligns with strategic communication goals and effectively engages target audiences while maintaining CBP message consistency.Ability to think strategically and manage multiple projects simultaneously, using data and analytics to inform decision-making, measure effectiveness, and adapt communication approaches in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Knowledge of federal executive branch organization programs and mission goals, objectives and relationships with other government and non-government entities to include liaison with foreign governments and consulates.
