SportsMedia.net is seeking to train and develop a strategic Vice President of Esports to lead the growth and development of our esports leagues and drive corporate sponsorship opportunities. This executive role will oversee all aspects of league operations, partnerships, business development, game development and create revenue modles while positioning SportsMedia.net as a leader in the competitive gaming industry. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the esports ecosystem, leard how to create strong industry relationships, and develop a proven track record of securing corporate sponsorships and media partnerships.

ABOUT THE JOB

Key Responsibilities:Esports League Management & GrowthOversee the development and operations of Esports Collegiate College League (ESCCL) and Esports High School League (ESHSL).Expand esports leagues through strategic partnerships with schools, colleges, and gaming organizations.Develop and implement policies, competitive structures, and rules for league operations.Work with game publishers, tournament organizers, and stakeholders to enhance league credibility and engagement.Spearhead initiatives to increase viewership, engagement, and participation in SportsMedia.net esports leagues.Corporate Sponsorship & Revenue GenerationDevelop and execute strategies to secure corporate sponsorships, brand partnerships, and media rights deals.Create sponsorship packages for brands looking to engage with the esports audience through SportsMedia.net’s platforms.Build long-term relationships with Fortune 1000 companies, esports sponsors, endemic and non-endemic brands.Work with the marketing and sales teams to optimize esports revenue streams, including advertising, merchandising, and licensing opportunities.Strategic Business Development & InnovationIdentify and leverage new business opportunities in esports, including digital media rights, event sponsorships, and franchise models.Stay ahead of industry trends, including emerging esports titles, platforms, and monetization models.Work closely with broadcast, streaming, and content teams to enhance the visibility of esports competitions.Collaborate with game developers, influencers, and esports talent to drive audience growth and engagement.Operational & Team LeadershipLead and manage a team responsible for league operations, marketing, business development, and content production.Develop and oversee the annual esports budget, ensuring profitability and sustainable growth.Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the success and impact of esports initiatives.Qualifications & Requirements:Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or a related field.Experience:7+ years of experience in esports, gaming, or sports media, with a focus on league operations and sponsorship.Proven track record of securing and managing multimillion-dollar sponsorship deals.Experience working with brands, game publishers, esports teams, and tournament organizers.Strong understanding of esports broadcasting, media rights, and digital content distribution.Skills:Strong leadership and team management abilities.Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.Deep knowledge of esports ecosystems, industry trends, and competitive gaming culture.Ability to manage multiple projects and partnerships simultaneously.Familiarity with esports platforms (Twitch, YouTube Gaming, Discord, etc.) and audience engagement strategies.
