The Lead HR Analyst intern will train to provide Human Resources (HR) consultation and HR operational support services to applicable departments. The intern will learn to support recruitment processes, data management employee relations, performance management and classification and compensation within the City of Tucson HR Department.

ABOUT THE JOB

Reviews workloads, assigns work and coaches employees with specialized instructions and practices for job accomplishments. Contribute to employees' performance evaluations, assist with the hiring process by interviewing and making recommendations and providing input to supervisory staff. Conducts operational and workflow analysis by interviewing, facilitating meetings, researching, preparing reports containing costs and ratios, preparing recommendations for presentations, assisting with procedure and program implementation and development of performance measurements. Manages and coordinates maintenance management software application system by ensuring that data entry process and reporting capabilities operate efficiently, are properly maintained, and are of sufficient quality. Coordinates grant proposals, projects and controls grant related expenditures and provides financial reports to grantors. Identifies funding by reading journals, periodicals, newsletters, newspapers, and reports, and communicates with the City's lobbyist to determine appropriate grant opportunities. Researches and writes detailed reports by conducting surveys, researching, compiling data, creating plans for staffing, equipment and budgetary impact. Designs, develops, and coordinates training programs including tracking and reporting systems.Coordinates special projects by designing and purchasing necessary commodities, creating campaigns, composing written materials, and developing presentations.
