Position/Job Title-Staff Respiratory TherapistJob Description-The Staff Respiratory Therapist provides high-quality respiratory care to patients of all ages. This roleincludes assessing patient respiratory status, delivering therapeutic treatments, managing ventilatorsand airway devices, and performing diagnostic procedures such as arterial line insertion. The therapistcollaborates with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare team members to develop and implementindividualized care plans. Additional responsibilities include patient education, accurate documentation,and adherence to safety and infection-control standards. This position requires strong clinical judgment,effective communication skills, and a commitment to patient-centered care.Length of Internship:The length of the internship will be 16 weeksTimeline-16 weeks (3–12-hour shifts) per week, no weekends or holidays.Title-Of each training module and learning outcomesSpecific Training Objectives-The training will prepare a respiratory therapist to function independently in both a general careand ICU environments.Type of Instructional Model-Classroom instruction, online, hands-on in both a clinical and simulation setting.Instructor Qualification (mentor)-Todd J Meyer – Director of Respiratory Services, Mayo Clinic RochesterProgram director Mayo Clinic Rochester, external clinical rotation program.37 years as a Respiratory TherapistAssessments-PleaseTraining Outcome-List credentials, certificates or hours gained towards accredited licenses etc.
