We are seeking a Senior Embedded Systems & SimulationEngineer to serve as a core technical leader on the Agentic ComputationalEngineering (ACE) team. In this role, you will design and build the AI, tools, testand evaluation frameworks, and associated physics-based simulation models thatdesign, build, and deploy embedded, FPGA, and board-level systems hardware. You will work end-to-end across the stack: from first-principles modeling ofcomplex electrical systems, to embedded firmware and FPGA logic, to PCBreviews and hardware-in-the-loop integration. You will ensure that the ACEplatform can reason about and control real devices with high fidelity, not justidealized models. This role is ideal for a deeply hands-on embedded/FPGAengineer who loves deriving models from physics, understands debugging on thebench, and who uses AI tools as a force multiplier for both code and design.
Architect and implement embedded firmware and low-level software (C/C++ andrelated tooling) for ACE-connected hardware modules, including microcontrollers,FPGAs, and custom boards for space environments. Lead or contribute to the design and review of digital hardware, including FPGA/SoC-based boards, high-speed interfaces, and supporting circuitry, with attention to signalintegrity, power, radiation considerations, and testability. Develop and maintain AI agents that perform FPGA designs (e.g., in VHDL, Verilog, orSystemVerilog), including simulation, verification, and timing closure for high-reliability applications. Build and use physics-based, first-principles models of complex electrical systems(e.g., power electronics, digital interfaces, mixed-signal subsystems) using circuit-level tools (SPICE) and, where appropriate, EM or field solvers to developcomputational engineering and evaluation frameworks. Integrate embedded systems and simulation models into the ACE platform so that AIagents can invoke them as tools for design exploration, verification, and optimization. Develop hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and bench setups that allow agent-generateddesigns, control strategies, and firmware updates to be evaluated against real orflight-like hardware. Create robust software interfaces, APIs, and documentation that make embeddeddevices, FPGA logic, and simulations accessible to other ACE engineers and to AIagents. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to early-career engineers on embeddedsystems, FPGA/PCB design, coding standards, and test methodology. Use LLMs and agentic workflows to accelerate boilerplate code generation, testbenchcreation, documentation, and exploratory design trades—freeing your time for thehardest modeling and systems problems.
