The Mettler-Toledo Product Inspection Field Service Technicians (FST) are required to provide World Class support to our customers through start-ups, audits, maintenance, repair, and training of Safeline X-Ray, Safeline Metal Detectors, Hi-Speed Checkweighers, or CI Vision machines. PI FST's are responsible for managing all aspects of field service support including the following: communications between customers and the service department, effective scheduling, detailed preparation of written reports and documentation, and maintenance of job assignments, while always keeping in mind to follow MT PI procedures and best practices.
Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with METTLER TOLEDO procedures and customer requirements, maintaining the service vehicle per fleet policies, and promoting service and product sales. The role requires accurate completion of paperwork, collaboration with customers and colleagues, and adherence to safety and quality policies to meet customer uptime requirements. To succeed in this role, candidates should possess a valid driver's license and a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent experience in a relevant technical field. Preferred qualifications include an associate degree in a technical major and customer-facing or field service experience. The role demands basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical repair, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to learn proprietary software. Candidates must be willing to travel, work overtime, and comply with safety regulations, including drug testing.
