Our participation in the SkillBridge program as an industry partner aims to provide transitioning service members with meaningful, hands-on experience in a regional marketing support role. The objective of this opportunity is to equip participants with the tools, skills, and professional exposure necessary for a successful transition into the civilian workforce.1.) Real-World Marketing Experience:Participants will gain practical experience in event planning, regional outreach, program administration, and marketing execution, preparing them for roles in corporate, nonprofit, or public-sector marketing environments.2.) Skill Development and Training:The program offers exposure to modern marketing tools, social media strategy, content coordination, event logistics, and regional campaign support. Participants will learn industry-standard practices and gain familiarity with marketing project workflows and stakeholder engagement.3.) Professional Mentorship:Interns will receive ongoing support and mentorship from experienced marketing professionals across regional and central teams. Guidance will be provided in career planning, resume development, and civilian workplace adaptation.4.) Applied Learning Through Projects:Service members will contribute to active regional projects such as customer events, community sponsorships, youth program support, and program reporting—enabling them to leverage their military experience in collaborative, impact-driven environments.5.) Networking Opportunities:Through engagement with local trade organizations, community partners, and internal teams, participants will have the opportunity to build valuable professional connections and explore future career paths in marketing, communications, or public relations.

ABOUT THE JOB

Supports the association’s marketing and outreach efforts in the western region by planning and executing customer events, managing regional marketing programs, and fostering key relationships. Works collaboratively with the East region marketing lead and reports regional needs and insights to the Vice President of Marketing. Has knowledge of standard marketing practices, content strategy, event logistics, and community engagement. Assists in promoting the association’s visibility and brand alignment through consistent communication, program delivery, and regional relationship management.1. Coordinates and executes logistics for the Young AgVisory Committee, including planning support and relationship-building. Actively recruits regional participants and collaborates on long-term program goals.2. Plans and budgets for customer appreciation events. Represents the association at branch-level events and provides event support. Leads live social media engagement during events and oversees the use of pre-approved social stock content.3. Partners with the East region lead to coordinate photography and videography, ensuring consistent branding and quality across marketing materials and regional communications.4. Manages relationships with local sponsors and trade organizations, maintaining regular communication and supporting joint initiatives that promote the association’s mission.5. Ensures regional alignment on large-scale marketing initiatives by coordinating with the East lead and communicating key needs and updates to the VP of Marketing.6. Administers and manages regional execution of marketing-driven programs and initiatives, including JumpStart, Vendor Voucher, and Scholarship programs. Tracks engagement, collects feedback, and recommends improvements.7. Collaborates on apparel and specialty item needs for the region, aligning with the East team to ensure consistency and timely delivery.8. Supports the development of regional marketing strategies and helps execute local tactics that support the association’s overall brand and goals.9. May participate in regional outreach and community events to promote programs, events, and association visibility. May assist in developing promotional materials or presenting at local events.10. Provides regular updates and status reports to marketing leadership regarding regional activities, event performance, sponsorship engagement, and program metrics.11. Serves as regional backup for cross-functional marketing needs as assigned. May assist in administrative tasks and communications when other marketing team members are unavailable.12. Other duties as assigned.
