Mechanical Resource Group (MRG) is a leading HVAC, hydronics, sales, and service organization dedicated to excellence, innovation, and customer satisfaction. The HVAC Field Project Manager is responsible for oversite to ongoing HVAC projects, ensuring quality control, coordinating with customers and technicians, and supporting sales teams. This role provides valuable field experience, including job site walks, quality assurance meetings, equipment readiness verification, and customer training support.

ABOUT THE JOB

Key Responsibilities:• Attend weekly New System Sales meetings to stay aligned with project progress and company objectives.• Participate in job site walks to observe and assess ongoing HVAC installations.• Review basic and advanced HVAC principles, including system applications and contracting hierarchy.• Assist in Quality Assurance Meetings (QATs) to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.• Learn and apply HVAC equipment selection tools for both simple and complex system designs.• Verify equipment readiness for startup, coordinating with technicians and suppliers.• Support equipment startup processes, ensuring proper installation and functionality.• Conduct joint owner training sessions with sales teams to educate customers on system operations.• Respond to customer inquiries and concerns, providing solutions for equipment-related issues.• Gain an understanding of project pitfalls commonly faced by mechanical contractors.• Develop skills in coordinating project schedules, resources, and technical information.• Work alongside technicians during equipment startups for hands-on learning and troubleshooting.Program Outcomes:• Understand the full project lifecycle of a HVAC project.• Have a working knowledge of HVAC systems, including simple and complex applications.• Develop problem solving skills to address common project pitfalls faced by mechanical contractors.• Be able to independently select HVAC equipment for various applications.• Know how to effectively communicate with customers and resolve issues.• Understand the criteria for determining project readiness before equipment startup

We are looking for anyone wanting to get into the HVAC industry or that already has experience. We provide all training to learn the basics of an HVAC Controls Technician.
