SkillBridge - On the Job

CloudFit’s 120‑Day SkillBridge Solution Architect Program is a full‑time, immersive training experience designed to equip transitioning service members with the technical, operational, and professional skills needed to support mission‑critical workloads for enterprise and Department of Defense customers. Through ten structured training modules led by CloudFit’s subject‑matter experts—covering secure enclave architecture, container security, automated compliance, cybersecurity operations, application modernization, Microsoft 365 management, and the CloudFit Software (CFS) platform—participants gain hands‑on experience designing, securing, and operating modern cloud environments. Trainees also complete CloudFit’s internal Badge certifications, receive mentorship from senior leaders, prepare for and earn the CompTIA Security+ certification, and complete a capstone architecture project that demonstrates real‑world readiness. Graduates embody CloudFit’s SERVE values and are fully prepared to transition into CloudFit’s Engineering Operations team as Solution Architects, launching a meaningful and impactful civilian career.

ABOUT THE JOB

A Solutions Architect at CloudFit Software (Engineering Operations Team) is responsible for designing and implementing secure cloud solutions for enterprise and DoD clients. This role translates mission requirements into robust technical architectures, focusing on Azure-based enclaves, containerization, and compliance with security standards (e.g., NIST 800-53, CMMC). The Solutions Architect leads technical teams, ensures solutions meet performance and compliance requirements, and acts as a liaison between engineering, program managers, and clients. The position requires broad IT knowledge, leadership, and strong communication skills, all developed during the SkillBridge program.
