This 10-week SkillBridge program prepares transitioning Service members for senior-level project management roles within the defense sector. Participants will gain critical knowledge and hands-on experience in managing government contracts, leading multi-disciplinary teams, and applying industry-standard project management frameworks. The curriculum covers risk, schedule, and budget management, Agile and Waterfall methodologies, and DOD contracting fundamentals. Through blended learning and real-world project simulations, candidates will develop the leadership, communication, and execution skills necessary to succeed in high-impact project environments. Graduates will earn a Certificate of Completion and accrue hours applicable toward PMP certification eligibility.

ABOUT THE JOB

Job Title: Senior Project ManagerLocation: Hybrid – Remote with occasional travel to client or training sitesOrganization: Weapons and Tactics Alliance Group (WepTac A.G.)Position Overview:Weapons and Tactics Alliance Group is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and oversee complex training and technology integration projects in support of U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) clients. The ideal candidate will be a former Service member or veteran with a background in planning, managing, and executing mission-critical projects, and who is capable of operating at a strategic level while ensuring tactical delivery.Key Responsibilities:Lead the planning, execution, and closeout of multiple concurrent projects across tactical communications, EMSO, and advanced training domainsCoordinate cross-functional teams including subject matter experts, instructors, engineers, and support staffManage project schedules, budgets, risk assessments, and performance metrics in accordance with DOD and federal contracting standardsInterface with government customers to ensure alignment of deliverables, timelines, and compliance requirementsApply Agile and traditional project management methodologies tailored to the operational environmentLead the development and briefing of project status updates, decision papers, and operational plansIdentify and mitigate project risks and roadblocks to ensure successful mission executionQualifications:Military background with leadership experience, preferably in Special Operations, Communications, or Program ManagementProven track record of leading complex projects within government or defense sectorsStrong understanding of DOD acquisition, program requirements, and compliance practicesPMP certification (or ability to earn within 6 months) strongly preferredStrong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsPreferred Experience:Experience working with or managing government contracts and project deliverablesFamiliarity with tactical communications, EMSO, or Special Warfare operationsAdvanced knowledge of MS Project, Jira, or equivalent project management toolsCompensation & Benefits:Competitive salary (commensurate with experience)Healthcare and retirement optionsProfessional development support and certification reimbursementOpportunity to work with elite teams shaping the future of warfighter readiness

RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Military background with leadership experience, preferably in Special Operations, Communications, or Program Management
  • Proven track record of leading complex projects within government or defense sectors
  • Strong understanding of DOD acquisition, program requirements, and compliance practices
  • PMP certification (or ability to earn within 6 months) strongly preferred
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience working with or managing government contracts and project deliverables
  • Familiarity with tactical communications, EMSO, or Special Warfare operations
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Project, Jira, or equivalent project management tools
