We will train our Skill Bridge candidates to become proficient in the practice areas of personal injury claims under The Longshore Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act and the Defense Base Act. By the end of our program, they will be able to file a claim with the Department of Labor (DOL), and see it through to settlement. They will learn to conduct extensive research into determining jurisdiction, correspond with insurance companies and defense attorneys, prepare settlement evaluations and demands, negotiate terms, and ensure a successful outcome for the clients.
ABOUT THE JOB
Paralegal Professional - We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented paralegal to join our team. They will specialize in Defense Base Act (DBA) claims and other areas of workers’ compensation law. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys with case preparation from intake to settlement, with a focus on maintaining case files, tracking deadlines, and communicating with clients, insurers, and opposing counsel. Exceptional organizational, research, and communication skills are a must. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven firm advocating for the rights of injured workers worldwide.
