Training for the position of Project Manager I. This Skillbridge opportunity is unpaid for the duration of the Skillbridge internship.
ABOUT THE JOB
Responsibilities • Responsible for preparing proposals, including development of scope, schedule, and budget, by coordinating with CHA technical groups and market staff • Responsible for meeting the client’s needs and addressing issues that arise during the project • Develops and determines project tasks through coordination with technical task managers • Responsible for developing a comprehensive project schedule and communicating updates to the client, management, and project team; manages project completion through project scheduling, expediting of required submissions, and the management of the document submittals/approvals; exercises judgment and discretion and implements project controls while maintaining project quality • Responsible for the coordination of contracts with the client, subcontractors, purchase orders, daily correspondence, and all other project-related documents • Develop project plan and Quality Management Plan as required • Conducts regular project progress meetings with the client manager and provides progress reports to the project team • Communicate with project team and technical task managers so that the project is delivered as effectively and efficiently as possible per the contract documents • Maintains electronic project directory, including all relevant project information, including contracts, subcontracts, invoices, critical correspondence, and general project files • Prepares for and attends monthly Project Review meetings with Operations • Responsible for all project financials, including revenue, multiplier, gross margin, budget, forecast, cash flow, subcontractor billings/payments, and managing the project to maintain positive cash flow throughout its life cycle • Reviews, manages, and approves subcontractor payments. Manages the subcontractor selection process and executes the subcontractor notice to proceed • Develops project-specific health and safety plan (HASP) in coordination with the health and safety managers and communicates the plan with the project team, monitors compliance with the HASP by the project team • Responsible for verifying that projects meet required QA/QC compliance as determined by the Quality Management Plan• Responsible for the preparation and submission of project close-out documents for the client. Provides a high level of service and responsiveness to clients and co-workers
